At St Robert’s we use Google Apps for Education (GAFE). We all have our own education accounts and love the way we can use the variety of easy apps to enhance our work. Recently we have been collaborating on Google Docs both with a partner and also with the whole class contributing at once. We’ve also been learning some handy tricks to create image on Google Drawings. Some of the Apps we enjoy and use often are Google Drive, Docs, Forms, Drawings, Slides, Sheets, Gmail, Classroom and Sites. We particularly love Google Classroom because it simplifies the management of our work in a paperless way. This year we are beginning to create Digital portfolios using Google Sites to showcase and reflect on our work.
So “All Aboard” everyone! Let’s enjoy the ride!
What is your favourite Google App?

Every February 14, in many places around the world, chocolates, flowers and gifts are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of St. Valentine.
Happy Valentine’s Day to the special people in your lives.

Shrove Tuesday is a Christian festival to mark the start of Lent. Lent is a period of about six weeks when Christians practise abstinence – by giving up luxuries or unnecessary things. Shrove Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday (the first day of Lent) and was celebrated last week by our whole school. Traditionally this was the last chance to eat rich foods before Lent, and an opportunity to use up all of the luxury foods (such as fat, butter and eggs – which pancakes are made of).
We really enjoyed our pancakes made by the famous French chef ‘Henri’, who is Mr Soldani’s cousin.
We made jigsaw puzzles to celebrate the day. You can try them by clicking on the puzzles below.
During our first week back at school ICT students tried a couple of Kahoot Quizzes.
They were lots of fun but we can’t play them on the blog, so here’s a quiz made on PhotoPeach!
Try it and see how you go.
