ANZAC Day is one of Australia’s most important national occasions. It commemorates not only the landing of Australian and New Zealand forces at Gallipoli in 1915, but all Australians who served and died in war. Many people get up early to attend the dawn service, others attend the ANZAC march and yet others stop to reflect privately on the spirit of the Anzacs, with their qualities of courage, mateship, and sacrifice.
Our students have been learning about the ANZAC story and its importance in the history of Australia, and some students have created art work or written stories about their thoughts. Here is a presentation on Book Creator.
