Pivot Animator is a great tool to try if you are learning to animate. Year 2 students really enjoyed learning animation skills and soon were adding backgrounds and converting their animations into short movies using Movie Maker.
This was the first time Grade 2 students had used both Pivot Animator and Movie Maker and I think they did a great job, don’t you?
Here are several examples:
‘Men Part 1 and Part 2’ – Produced by Nick and Will (Grade 2)
‘Dance Studio’ – Produced by Ava (Grade 2)
‘The Week on the Dance Floor’ – Produced by Mackenzie (Grade 2)
‘ICE’ – Produced by Matthew (Grade 2)
Year 5 and 6 students used Pivot Animator to develop their animation techniques. They really enjoyed using this tool and eagerly explored many skills to make some great animations. A requirement of the task was to convert the Pivot file to a movie file so that it could be uploaded to the class wiki and also the blog.
Below are just a few examples, but there are lots more on each student’s wiki page. See links to class wikis below.
